That is precisely what you make happen when you support Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies in our core mission. Our programs have a clear focus: we help at-risk pregnant teens and women locate quality prenatal care, and an appropriate payer source. This care is crucial to delivering strong, healthy babies and, thus, creating healthier families who become contributing members to our communities.
These programs have proven to be life-saving and cost effective. Studies show that every dollar spent on prenatal care saves $3.33 on postnatal care, and even more than that in long term health costs. Small amounts invested during this short but decisive period yield significant positive return for an entire lifespan, as better cared-for pregnant mothers and their newborns become part of our community. Can you think of another investment that offers a return this generous? Probably not!
We are proud to serve as the "healthy beginnings gateway" for at-risk pregnant teens and women within Palm Beach County … women without the means or experience at ‘navigating the system’ to locate and obtain the services they need without outside help.
For 2010, we have an ambitious goal: to raise $175,000. But, our success is reliant on the support of local residents like you – who know what we do and understand the tremendous good our services and programs provide in Palm Beach County.
