In-Person Infant Safety Series: CPR & Child Safety Class

This workshop is for expectant couples, parents, and community members who are caregivers of infants and children. Learning infant CPR can prepare parents to give their child the best chance of recovering from an emergency, choking, drowning, or a breathing problem like asthma.

The class will teach the basic techniques of infant CPR and how to give first aid for choking. A certified CPR instructor will lead the class.

It is beneficial to attend all the courses in HMHB Infant Safety Series; below are the class topics and dates in this series.

  1. January 14, 2023 - CPR & Child Safety

  2. January 18, 2023 - Buckle-Up Car Seat Safety 

  3. January 25, 2023 - Safe Baby

  4. February 1, 2023 - Bath Time Safety

Facilitator: Jason Valentine, Lieutenant Owner/Operator Valentine CPR
Jason Valentine is a Captain-firefighter/paramedic for the City of Coral Springs Fire Department with over 15 years experience. He is also a CPR instructor, and has taught infant CPR classes with HMHBs for the past four years. Jason states there’s no greater satisfaction than teaching new parents these critical lifesaving skills.
