Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies provides free Childbirth Classes through the Florida Outreach Childbirth Education Program. The classes aim to prepare parents for the birth of their baby by covering such topics as labor and delivery, labor support techniques, breathing and relaxation, pain management, postpartum care, and C-Section information.
Pregnant women typically attend these classes within the seventh month (third trimester) of their pregnancy. Support partners are also welcome to join the class.
Each participant is encouraged to bring the following:
Two (2) pillows for each participant
One (1) blanket or comforter

Ruth Kraft has been working with women and mastering her ability to nurture for as long as she can remember. With over 20 years of experience helping new parents, she holds certifications in major birth worker organizations, including Evidence-Based Birth. She has a passion for teaching and views it as more than knowledge but empowerment. Her love is in assisting families to understand they have a say in their birthing experience. Ruth finds joy in helping to empower parents through their childbirth experience. She is changing lives for the better, one birth at a time.
