The training covers the emotional and psychological challenges that perinatal families face during the first 12 weeks postpartum—often called the Fourth Trimester.
Unique to any other time in their lives, new parents encounter shifts in their daily activities, significant changes to their lifestyles, and approach new facets in their relationships with family and friends. With these changes, some parents are quickly faced with how to cope with the mental health challenges that accompany this new stage of life.
The training includes strategies and ideas for offering comprehensive support for maternal mental health during the Fourth Trimester. HMHB is a Continuing Education Provider approved by the Florida Board of Nursing, Florida Board of Psychology, and Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.
